I truly enjoy leveraging my writing expertise to help busy executives and PR agencies turn complex operational information and market observations into strong pieces of writing that are ready to publish. This task brings together all the strengths from my varied career, which is a blend of technical precision and public affairs leadership. 

I have a range of communication experience that stretches from authoring technical documentation across software, transportation, and public safety sectors, to managing  media relations, crisis messaging, and stakeholder strategy for government and non-profit organizations. Even technical data can tell an engaging  story when written in a compelling and cohesive way, and I am a highly versatile storyteller grounded in thorough research. This skill is evidenced in my work in digital content strategy  as well as my creative role as the chief writer for Letters From Home,  a historical fiction story letter service. 

Born and raised in the oil and gas environment of Alberta, I have deep roots in the energy culture, particularly the midstream industry. Now based in metro Houston, I work as an on-demand communications contractor for corporate energy clients.

 I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Professional Writing from MacEwan University and an M.A. in Professional Communication from Royal Roads University, specializing in intercultural and international communication.
